The “text” on feminine touch medicine…
Something you can read and know about ftm before you dive in!
Because the “touch of a woman” can be profound and mysterious…
Knowing what you’re getting into will help your mind be at ease and create the desire you’re looking to satisfy. The mind is on your side, she wants to go with you! Feminine touch is never going to get you out of your head, but it will get your mind flowing more naturally with your body.
Feminine touch invites your mind to its supreme, connective balance.
Whether in bodywork, guided journey, a practice date, or something in between, we invite the mind to properly track and care for our whole system: body, heart, spirit…and MIND!
the feminine
According to all ancient forms of medicine, every human contains masculine and feminine energies within, just like we came from a mother and a father and have both their genes. Masculine energy looks like productivity, expression, action, externals, etc. Feminine energy feels. It lives in the body, internal…
In felt sensation, in somatic experience, in breath, and in the subtle, often quiet voice that gets drowned out by our noisy, pressurized, performance-driven (masculine) society.
Its the part of you that doesn’t force or strive, but nurtures through listening, responding, and creating a deeper place within for ease, peace, and joy.
The feminine unfolds when she has the space to do so. And, when she unfolds, she provides clarity, creativity and a kind of power that doesn’t come from pushing, but holding palpable presence. This kind of feminine medicine fuels the fire of the masculine within us all. Without the feminine igniting our systems, we begin to move in depletion cycles. Your human design of woven feminine and masculine capacity is REGENERATIVE!
In tantra, she is called Shakti - the animating, creative force that moves through the body and the world to bring life through otherwise inanimate forms (masculine). She is rhythmic, responsive, and relational. We can find her IN the body!
We can find her profoundly in bodies relating together - she is that spark that lovers follow to move in harmony with one another.
All of these aspects of feminine are the “touches” that generate the “medicine” that renew us in highly imbalanced world.
the feminine in 3 forms
My calling is to walk alongside individuals and couples to find, honor, and cherish the feminine because it helps EVERYONE! She is the well from which all life, vitality, and energy springs.
These are the three ways I concoct the medicine of feminine touch —
surrogacy: I provide myself as a female body, deeply feminine-embodied, high regulated nervous system practice partner for intimate human connection; communication skills, experiences of joy & ease with another, trust & rapport building, cuddling & breathing, co-regulation, somatic presence, and so on!
shibari: This is a Japanese art of ropes wrapped around body. The feminine touch in this practice is found richly around the inherent, latent desire underneath the art form expressed through the ropes - the desire for quite intangible bliss of surrendering and being given surrender. The feminine touch available in shibari curates medicine like vulnerability, surrender, joy, creativity, and coherent connection beyond consent and checklists and into craft connection.
shamanism: I do not call myself a shaman, and one need not be titled to move between worlds in a powerful way. The feminine touch medicine of subtle noticing, female intuition, and motherly care are skills necessary to cross thresholds from one dimension to another. Shamanism is a powerful blend of life/death, masculine/feminine, and light/dark, so we draw out the medicine when we move in these feminine ways of walking two worlds within.
about the founder&practitioner
Auriana//Christiana
Why two names?
Christiana was given to me by my mother.
Auriana was given to me by my inner father; the part of me that nurtures a protective force field. In some spaces and places of this powerful work, an alias is helpful to buffer trust and rapport building.
That said, if you got here, you now know! Thank you for respecting my privacy and trust in sharing my names.
and here is my story
After working as an MSW therapist with an AASECT-certified sex therapist and pelvic pain specialist office on the dawn of the global event commonly referred to as COVID, I was thoroughly set down a path. That path allowed me to develop my artistry and skill in somatic processing, body-mind modalities, and various types of bodywork to bring joy, pleasure, and safety into the intimate lives of women and men experiencing pain, discomfort, or confusion.
My interest and specialty in women’s health & intimacy issues began while working as an advocate for individuals deciding to leave the commercial sex industry right after I graduated from University of Pennsylvania with my Master of Social Work. These -mostly women- sought safety from traffickers, other influential community members, and the industry itself, which becomes a spiral of traps keeping one from finding the exit door.
Through this work, I was inspired to dive deep into core human issues perpetuating the commercial sex industry. I wasn’t satisfied to just perceive this as a simple supply and demand issue. I was surprised, at that time, to find that many women spoke kindly of some of their customers, almost as if they were therapeutic staff support for their intimate lives! I wasn’t surprised to find that many of these women also had deep emotional wounds, psychological scars, and pelvic health issues, along with general compromised health, that kept them trapped more than empowered. On the tail end of this career, I learned about surrogate partners at an AASECT conference. The start of a thread…
After burnout from working the “under belly” of society (hearing and seeing the worst abuses on all levels of leadership, even before Epstein files became a thing), I allowed the COVID days to be an adventure into seeking alternative ways of healing and being in this world. Sweat lodges, gardening, tribal rituals and medicine practices, tantra, alternative dance and movement forms, and the like became a regular part of my life.
I traveled to study and I studied to travel - Scotland, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, Florida, Dominican Republic, cross-country, and local travel in-between. Once, I ventured to Belgium where I found my ancestral shamanic roots in Celtic-Druidic history at a convergence of waters in old growth forest next to a significant Druidic mound. I devoted a year to visiting rivers and streams weaving water with ceremony and community.
Because venturing off as a hermit into the depths of the forest wasn’t an option for me, I began my pursuit back into at least the margins of the mainstream world. In 2024, I got serious about studying again, in this new way I learned to be. I learned Shibari in Austin, TX - boy, does that keep one in the margins! I received training in yogic and tantric holistic massage for women, including yoni care. I studied and completed certification with Tami Lynn Kent in her Holistic Pelvic Care course. And, finally, I came full circle back to my sex therapist colleague to study with her through IPPS (International Pelvic Pain Society) to understand doctors and physical therapists, AND to re-visit the powerful solution of surrogacy for individuals in sex therapy treatment.
Today, I work and play at Bound Studio Lancaster as a Shibari model, instructor, and administrative assistant. I provide freelance surrogacy, and I hold consulting, shamanic, or therapeutic coaching online or in-person as able!
